Dr. Azizul Haque is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology, College of Life & Applied Sciences at Yeungnam University, South Korea. He received his Ph.D. in Bioinformatics from Yeungnam University. He earned an outstanding GPA of 4.50 out of 4.50 during his doctoral studies coursework. Dr. Haque completed both his Bachelor of Science in Animal Husbandry and Master of Science in Animal Breeding and Genetics from Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), one of the leading agricultural universities in South Asia. Prior to joining Yeungnam University as a faculty member, Dr. Haque worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Biotechnology at the same university. During this period, he was involved in several collaborative research projects focused on functional genomics, systems biology, and SNP. Dr. Haque has contributed to various national and international research projects.
Dr. Haque has authored and co-authored more than 40 peer-reviewed research articles published in reputable national and international journals. He is proficient in several programming languages and tools essential for big data analysis in life sciences, including Python, R, Perl, Linux, and Bash/Shell scripting. His expertise extends to workflow automation, algorithm development, and statistical modeling in bioinformatics. Dr. Haque is actively engaged with the broader academic community. He is a member of multiple international scientific organizations and serves on the editorial boards of several peer-reviewed journals in the fields of bioinformatics, computational biology, and genetics.
